The beautiful model presents our new trends and the best way to combine them alongside Laura Ponte and Max Irons
Dree Hemingway
This season, the models Dree Hemingway and Laura Ponte and the actor Max Irons have been chosen to offer tips and show websurfers and TV audiences how to combine MANGO trends and wear the latest styles. Following the success of previous editions, we are launching the fifth season of the whatshouldiwearbymango.com online campaign, which last season registered more than 700,000 visits.
On this occasion, we have decided to count on the presence of Dree Hemingway, whose particular style, charisma and spontaneity will leave none of us indifferent. She was amusing and very natural during the shoot, which took place in Barcelona. The granddaughter of the celebrated writer Ernest Hemingway and the daughter of the famous actress Mariel Hemingway, Dree was born in the United States in 1987. She studied in Los Angeles before moving to New York, where she did her first modelling work. An admirer of our brand, last November she attended the opening of our flagship store in New York’s SoHo district.

Previous editions counted on the collaboration of famous models and celebrities such as Alexandra Richards, Eugenia Silva, Ariadna Artiles, Alice Dellal, Sheila Márquez, Nuno Lopes, Dakota Johnson, Goya Toledo and Hugo Sauzay.
In Spain, the launch of our microsite will be accompanied by a television commercial. We have continued to opt for a highly interactive format, in the style of version 2.0. It will feature the personal shopper blog, which every week will publish a series of questions asked by users, and which the personal shopper will answer in the same blog. Each week new videos and new styling tips will also feature, where advice will be given for successfully mixing different styles for every occasion, as well as competitions aimed at websurfers.
For the new Autumn/Winter ‘09 season, MANGO’s menswear line, HE Homini Emerito, has an outstanding ambassador, the young British actor Max Irons.
Max Irons
At just 23, Irons is making a name for himself in London theatre. He recently made his debut on the stage, a starring role in Wallenstein, a thriller by Friedrich Schiller, while starring in the film Dorian Gray, alongside the British actor Colin Firth. The son of actor parents, he has inherited the elegance and talent of his father, Jeremy Irons, and his passion for the theatre from his mother, the renowned Irish actress Sinéad Cusack, and from his famous grandfather, Cyril Cusack.

During the photo shoot, which took place in Barcelona last May under the direction of the Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini, Max revealed his more amusing side, making it an agreeable experience for the entire team. In spite of the fact that he is fully committed to his acting career, this is not the first time he has lent his image to a fashion brand. A few seasons ago, he participated in the Burberry campaign alongside Kate Moss, shot by the photographer Mario Testino.
The new HE collection is a reflection of the latest trends in men’s fashion: a structured silhouette with details (such as breast pockets, epaulettes, pleats, double buttons, coats of arms, elbow patches and Mao necks), which are applied to fabrics such as velvet. To complete the look, certain elements have been borrowed from uniforms, for example utilitarian, military and English school uniforms. The colour palette contrasts different tones of grey and green with touches of livelier tones such as redcurrant, aubergine or cobalt blue. Also present are natural and marine tones, which combine with touches of red. The HE man enjoys nature, and therefore has a more relaxed air and returns to the most elemental values. The collection features find thick tricot garments in aran, corduroy and double fabrics. Without overlooking the important role played by jeans.

The HE collection, aimed at the young fashion conscious male, is on sale in 117 MANGO stores in 17 countries and there are stores exclusively dedicated to the menswear collection in cities such as Ankara, Annecy, Barcelona, Dubai, Madrid, Santander, Toulouse and Valencia.

For the forthcoming season, and under the name of HEROES, MANGO presented a collection with proposals in which the MANGO woman gains power and strength by adding clear 1980s influences to her wardrobe. Shoulder lines are accentuated on suit jackets and outer garments, while in lower garments, the silhouette becomes narrower, with slim-fit trousers, biker trousers, leggings and pencil skirts. For its part, the men’s collection HE Homini Emerito presents a structured silhouette with details such as breast pockets, epaulettes, pleats, double buttons, shields, elbow patches and Mao necks. Furthermore, the North American designer Adam Lippes is once again collaborating with us and is designing two collections, one for men and one for women. For women, the Adam for MANGO collection has a clear 80s influence, while giving the garments a certain timeless and exclusive air. For men, Adam for HE is a casual collection with a 50s air.
